A solid base for rightly understanding God’s divine word and faith is provided to our 7th and 8th grade youth in Catechism classes normally lead by the pastor. Classes for 7th and 8th grade youth are held most Wednesdays at Zion after school with a few Lenten Wednesdays excepted. Catechism features basic instruction in the essential Biblical faith centered on the Scriptures and Luther’s Small Catechism with a few other relevant resources, including various AV/Internet items used. This year’s class has 7 from St. John’s and 3 from Zion. A Confirmation Camp weekend at Lutheran Island Camp pending for January or February will be offered to all interested students.
